Carmen Rouge Interviewed By Ruby Collins
Q : Tell us about yourself. A: I was born and raised in sunny Modesto, California. I would classify myself as the typical girl next door, but a tom boy at heart. I am a tell-it-like-it-is type of person and am extremely loyal. I am the type of person to go out of my way to help any of my friends and family. I make it known that there is always a shoulder to cry on. I am highly ambitious and will stop at nothing to make a project or dream happen. With that being said I am currently going to school at the Illinois Institute of art Schaumburg for my bachelor in fine arts for fashion design. I hope to create Retro inspired pieces and open my own boutique. Also, I recently retired from the Navy where I was modern Rosie the Riverter. My job entailed working on General Electric gas turbine engines and Allyson 501K generators. I earned my enlisted service war far specialist earned three nams and was a mentor/supervisor to an entire engine room.
Q: How did you get into pinup modeling? A: A good friend, Serenity Jones, invited me to take photos with her and photographers Cliff Pepper and John Goyer, and of course, the lovely Ruby Collins. I’ve always dreamed about doing pinup photography so i most certainly seized the opportunity. I was instantly hooked and from there on and went full sprint into modeling. I love the energy, networking, trying new ideas with poses, getting dressed up and defiantly making new friends.

Pinup leaves more to the imagination than most types of modeling. Both men and women can appreciate its beauty. I love the type of pinup that it is untouched, with no photoshop, i like light makeup with just the model in her true form portraying woman as they truly are, timeless pieces of art. Shape and size does not matter in pinup world and it defiantly makes women feel classic and sexy.
Q: Tell us about your favorite shoot? A: My favorite shoot was with Cliff Pepper and makeup artist Dezi Doll. Cliff is highly professional photographer and was willing to teach everything he knows about taking a perfect picture. I learned a lot of different techniques and had a fantastic time shooting.
Q: What's your vice? A: Being too honest, partying hard, and shopping
Q: What can we look forward to seeing from you in the future? A: I would love to get more involved with pinup world. I want to meet new people learn new poses have fun adn just further my career in modeling. Also, I want to have my own retro-inspired fashion line. I am a student so I will be going further into depth with sewing techniques but hope to have my boutique in a couple of years. So watch out for that.
